Senator Wielechowski offered Amendment No. 1 : Page 2, following line 4: Insert a new bill section to read: "* Sec. 3. AS 43.70.030(a) is amended to read: (a) The fee for each business license is $50 a year, except that the fee is $25 if [(1)] the business is a sole proprietorship [;] and [(2)] the sole proprietor is (1) 65 years of age or older when the sole proprietor applies for the license or will reach 65 years of age at any time during the year for which the license is issued; or (2) a disabled veteran." Renumber the following bill sections accordingly. Senator Wielechowski moved and asked unanimous consent for the adoption of Amendment No. 1. Senators Coghill, Micciche objected, then withdrew their objections. There being no further objection, Amendment No. 1 was adopted. Amendment No. 2 was not offered. Senator Coghill moved and asked unanimous consent that the bill be considered engrossed, advanced to third reading and placed on final passage. Without objection, it was so ordered.
